Ortigia is a small and suggestive Sicilian island, which is part of the city of Syracuse. Rich in history and charm, it gives its name to the Ortigia Sicilia brand, which creates wonderful natural-based fragrances, but also objects, such as plates and trays, and clothing, such as shirts, which can be seen made in the Como textile district.
The founder of this small but already iconic brand is Sue Townsend, who discovered the beauty of Sicily during one of her trips and was struck by the crossroads of cultures, each capable of leaving something to the island. The Phoenicians, the Greeks, the Romans, the Byzantines, the Normans, the Aragonese, the Bourbons: each people gives a sign of their passage, which contributed to making this pearl of the Mediterranean a place so loved and rich in culture. Ortigia Sicilia is inspired by this complexity and the scents that can be breathed here, using local natural ingredients, such as orange blossom, lime, bergamot, pomegranate, prickly pear, almond, orange, lemon, but also saffron and cactus, to make perfumes and eau de toilette which are also very popular on our site.
